Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you visit this website and use "The Wise Woman's Hearth" tale generator. It's written in plain language, and it's a starting point rather than a final legal document — see the note at the bottom before relying on it publicly.

What we collect

This site does not have user accounts, does not use cookies, and does not run any analytics or advertising trackers. The only information involved is:

• The theme you type in (e.g. "a lost key, an old promise") when you ask for a tale. This text is sent to our AI provider to generate a story and is not stored on our servers afterward.
• The tale generated for you, which is returned to your browser and only saved if you choose to print it or save it as a PDF yourself.

We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details anywhere on this site.

Third-party services we use

A few outside services are involved in running this site, each with their own privacy practices:

• Cloudflare Workers AI processes the theme you enter in order to generate your tale. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Gumroad handles the purchase of any books — if you click "Read the book," you'll leave this site and Gumroad's own privacy policy and payment terms apply. We never see or store your payment details.
• Instagram — the Instagram link takes you to a separate platform governed by Meta's privacy policy.
• Google Fonts is used to load the typefaces on this page.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies or use browser local storage to track visitors.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data retention

Because we don't store accounts or submissions, there's nothing to retain — each tale is generated fresh and not saved on our end after it's sent back to your browser.

Your choices

Since no personal data is collected or stored by this site, there's nothing to request, correct, or delete. If that ever changes as the site grows, this policy will be updated to explain your options.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if we add accounts, order history, or analytics in the future — we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above.

Before relying on it publicly — especially once real accounts, payments, mailing lists, or a dedicated domain are added — have it reviewed by a lawyer familiar with privacy law in your region (and GDPR/CCPA if you expect visitors from the EU or California).
